Anxiety

Hello Readers,  I am sorry for not posting the past few months. I have been going through a hard time in my life. I want to talk about anxiety because it is a real thing and what I have been dealing with. People deal with it every day for many reasons, especially today in the world. I want to look at what God says about anxiety. First of all if you are having anxiety God cares and loves you very much. 1 Peter 5:7 says this, Cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you. Even if it seems silly to you, it isn't to him; he knows and is with you. Anxiety is a very serious topic, so fill yourself with happiness, fun things  and just focusing on the joy in a relationship with Jesus and the hope that he brings. Philippians 4:4-9 says this:   Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!   Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests

Why Did Jesus Have to Die?

Hello readers,  I wanted to tell you I am going to be posting once a month until the summer  because of some other projects I am working on. Anyway,  I am going to talk about the gospel and this scene of Jesus dying on the cross. Why did he do that? He was an innocent man! and we are not perfect and we deserve to die because we sinned . The ultimate point is Jesus Christ is the only person who could have died and sacrifice his life because in  2 Corinthians 5:21 says God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.  John 3:16 says For God so loved the world he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. This is the core verse of the gospel and it brings so much hope and power. I love this verse!  If  we believe Jesus died on the cross,  then we can live life serving Him and knowing one day that we will live in eternal life with Him.

2021! A Very Happy New Years To You!

Hello readers, Happy New Year! I can't wait to see what 2021 brings us! I am sorry for not posting in a while -  December is a crazy month. I also hope that your Christmas was good! So, we don't know what 2021 will bring us, but we don't have to worry because Jesus holds the future. One of my favorite verse's is Jeremiah 29:11 and it reads: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to proper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." I love this verse because I can trust the Lord with the future because he loves us so much and given us so much already. I may not know what I want to be or what will happen this very day or week but God knows the future, but I can look up to him and have peace. This is such an encouragement to us as we head into the next day or week or month - let’s remember the hope Jesus brings.

"With" Review

Hello readers,  I recently read a book that I loved and it's called With ! It is by Skye Jethani and I have enjoyed reading the books he has written. “With” is about how to live in communion with God and not from him, not over him, not under him, and not for God. Life over God should be pretty simple.  It means you’re not following God’s rules, but you are making your own. This doesn’t seem bad if you’re not a Christian but it is really a sin when you do that. You are saying that I won’t follow Jesus and his rules but me and my rules whether you realize it or not. Also it is when you use God to bless you're life. Skye Jethani illustrates what it is like to be in a Life Over God stage when he says "The mystery and wonder of the world is lost as God is abandoned in favor of proven formulas and controllable outcomes" (Jethani 6). Skye is basically saying that when you are Over God then it is  when you think you or someone else has authority. When, really, God is in con

Jesus in Writing

Hello readers, Today I’m going to talk about songs! Songs are not just the lyrics but also what inspires the writer. If some of you know me, then you may know I write songs. I write with the love for Christ woven in. It may sound crazy but its true! I might not have started if it wasn't for Him. I write Christian songs and sometimes love songs. You can also love God through writing poems, books, and maybe school or even newspaper writing.   Forgive Us O Lord and The First Time I Saw You are the titles of some songs I have wrote in the past couple weeks or so. Forgive Us O Lord is a Christian song and you can tell I wrote it about Jesus Christ. The second one is a love song! In my opinion, the love song could be about God too, because if you are a Christian then you love Him.

Jesus’s Miracles

Hello Readers,  I am very sorry for not posting last week there was a lot happening! Today though I am writing about the miracles that Jesus did. (  Definition of a Miracle ), Jesus did a lot of miracles and still does even when we don't know it. The first miracle that Jesus performed was at the wedding feast at Cana when he turned water into wine.  Because they ran out of wine, Jesus asked his disciples to fill six jars with water up to the brim. When the disciples finished Jesus asked his disciples to take some out and give some to the Master of the Banquet, and when he took a sip it tasted like wine. If you want to read the whole story you can go to this link  Jesus Changes Water into Wine . My question at first was how could He do this? Then I remembered that he is the Son of God and has more power than us and can do these things, like miracles. The funny thing is He is so powerful that through Him and our relationship with Him we can do miracles today. That only comes through

What You Do When You Are A Christian? Now What?

Hello readers, So last week I wrote about "What is Christianity and What do we believe?" Now this week I am writing about what do you do now that you are Christian? Your a Christian- great! Now what? The answer is: live your life serving Jesus Christ and loving others. How do you do that? There are many things you can do to achieve this. One is tell about Jesus and share the good news (hint: Jesus died on the cross for you) also known as the gospels. Another way to keep your faith with Christ Jesus alive is reading your Bible everyday and praying with Jesus! There are also more broad things you can do. For an example, doing some mission trips: in the Bible it says,  He said to them"Go preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever doesn't believe will be condemned. Mark 16:15-16. Jesus is saying if you believe, then go tell others about what you believe so they don't have to suffer the consequences. These are just
